The Themes system in Red Crab Cube Timer has undergone a complete makeover which allows you to customize the colours, backgrounds and fonts used in the program. In previous versions of Red Crab Cube Timer you were limited to a fixed selection of themes. Now you can choose between three types of background: solid colour, gradient, or custom image.

The Times list has improved enourmously over previous versions of Red Crab Cube Timer and in version 1.3 even more has been done to improve what is one of the most important parts of the program. Each recorded time appears in the times area with its own delete button so that you can remove individual times. The fastest time is also highlighted in red so that you can easily distinguish it from the other recorded times.

In addition the accuracy of the timer has improved so that times are recorded to an accuracy of ten milliseconds putting Red Crab Cube Timer in line with other rubik's cube timer programs.

One of the new features to appear in Red Crab Cube Timer 1.3 is the statistics view. All of your recorded solve times are saved and then used to generate a line graph showing your performance over time. You can change the time span so that you can see statistics relating to the previous week, month, or any date range you choose!

You can however change the settings of Red Crab Cube Timer so that all of your recorded solve times stay in the times view until you choose to reset or delete an individual time, much like the functionality of previous versions.

The inspection time is the number of seconds where you allow yourself to inspect the scrambled Rubik’s cube before solving. In competitions the inspection time is usually 15 seconds. When an inspection time is set the timer will count down the selected number of seconds and when it reaches zero the timer will start automatically.

In Red Crab Cube Timer you can either set the inspection time to one of the pre-set values, or set your own custom inspection time to suit your own needs!

Red Crab Cube Timer calculates several averages of your solve times. These are Average of 5,10,20, and total average.

Additionally the number of solves and the best solve time are also displayed above the averages.
